D. Pratt (PhD, University
of Washington) focuses on cross-cultural aspects of teaching
and learning. He is a Professor in the Department of Educational
Studies at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada.
He has spent several years in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore
teaching and researching various social and cultural interpretations
of teaching and learning. He is a Master Teacher Award Winner
at the University of British Columbia. He is the principal author
of the Cyril Houle Award-winning book: Five Perspectives on
Teaching in Adult and Higher Education (Krieger Publishing,
1998). |

B. Collins (PhD, University of Utah)
heads a research and consulting firm specializing in evaluating
the effectiveness of social and educational programs – chiefly
for adults. He is a former faculty member of the University
of British Columbia in the departments of Psychology and Adult
Education. In addition to his work on the statistical and psychometric
aspects of the TPI, his recent professional activities have
focused on helping to clarify and refine entry-to-practice standards
for professional associations in Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, and
Accountancy. He teaches occasional courses and serves on a number
of Thesis Committees at UBC. |
